A perfectly prepared surface is the foundation of a beautiful Venetian plaster finish.
The substrate must be:
Clean and free from dust, grease and loose paint
Dry and fully cured
Smooth and even
Structurally sound
Recommended curing times:
Cement and cement-lime plasters: minimum 1 week per 1 cm thickness
Concrete surfaces: minimum 28 days
Gypsum plasters: minimum 2 weeks
If the surface is uneven or has colour variations, apply a primer or base coat in a colour similar to the final plaster to unify the background.
Remove:
Old glue paints
Loose coatings
Weak or flaking layers
For damp or mould-affected areas, clean and treat them with an antifungal product before application.
Venetian plaster is ready to use straight from the container.
