CEKOL TR-49 is a gypsum mortar for manual application of plasters in dry compartments with air relative humidity up to 70%. CEKOL TR-49 can also be used on gypsum, concrete, cellular concrete, ceramic and lime-sand brick bases.
CEKOL TR-49 is a dry mixture of gypsum, mineral fillers and the latest generation of modifying additives which provides excellent plasticity and adhesion to base. Lightweight aggregate admixture enhances the mortar thermo insulation properties in comparison with those of a traditional cement-lime mortar. CEKOL TR-49 allows high productivity of plastering work. It is easy to apply and smooth out.
The surface should be clean, compact and free from grease. Emulsion, oil, glue paints as well as loose sand and plaster particles must be removed. Steel elements should be protected against rust, with. anti-corrosion paint. Strongly absorbable bases and unevenly absorbing bases (e.g. calcium-silicate or ceramic brick) should be primed with CEKOL GS-82 priming emulsion beforehand where smooth surfaces and ceilings should be primed with CEKOL GS-83 KONTAKT.
Attention: Frozen surfaces must not be plastered. Do not plaster fresh concrete surfaces.
Pour the CEKOL TR-49 package contents to water in proportion of 0.50-0.55 litre of water for 1 kg of dry powder and mix thoroughly with a mechanical mixer. Apply the mix manually to previously prepared surface in a uniform layer. On ceilings apply single layer only.
The sequence is as follow:
· Prime the base
· Fasten any profiles (if using)
· Apply plaster
· For preliminary evening – use aluminium floating rule
· After partial setting, form surfaces and angles
· At the final setting phase, spraying the surface with water mist than float with a sponge float and draw the “milk”, on the end smoothing it with a stainless steel trowel.
· Work temperature +5oC to +25oC.
If two layers of plaster are to be applied, the first layer, not fully set, should be floated in a “fir-tree” pattern and, after setting, the second layer should be applied by the “wet on wet” method.
The plaster meets the requirements of PN-EN 13279-1 B5/20/2 Light manual-application gypsum-based plaster
